THE BACTERIAL PLAQUE

The plaque contains bacteria that produce acids that attack the enamel of the teeth and damage the gums. If it is not treated in time, the damage can be permanent. When the plate accumulates, and is not removed it mineralizes, trapping spots and
becoming tartar.

Plaque is the leading cause of many oral health problems. Using an appropriate toothbrush, with good bristles, which needs to be changed every 2 to 3 months, is the most effective way to remove plaque. In addition, dental floss is the only tool that fits between the teeth and reaches the groove (space between the gum and the tooth), where the plaque is not calcified, which in the long term generates loss of teeth.

Dental floss is used NOT ONLY to remove traces of food between the teeth, its most important function is to remove plaque that produces interdental caries. Not having these daily habits, the accumulation of tartar is encouraged and it adheres and calcifies strongly to the enamel, and only a professional dentist can do the work of eliminating it.
